Essential Medical Transport Driver – Wheelchair and Ambulatory (Essential) 2nd & 3rd Shift
Available Shifts: 2nd Shift: 3PM – 1AM or 3rd Shift: 8PM-6AM (set and rotating shifts available) Full-Time & Part-Time

Suburban Transportation is looking for CDL drivers, with passenger endorsement, to provide non-emergency wheelchair and ambulatory patient transport.
We transport elderly and disabled clients to/from medical appointments, hospitals, dialysis clinics, nursing homes, adult day healthcare, and around town. We help those in need who would otherwise be unable to access essential services in the community.
We are seeking multiple drivers to join our team. Must be able to work independently and fulfill requests for transport for wheelchair and ambulatory clients traveling to/from area hospitals, dialysis clinics, and medical offices.
There will be some downtime during shift to take a break or standby at hospital in safe and secure area waiting for transport requests.
Candidates must enjoy driving and providing high level customer service to clients, their caregivers, and medical providers. All drivers must meet physical requirements to push and pull the weight of patients in wheelchairs.
We are taking great precautions to ensure safety of drivers and passengers during the COVID pandemic. We supply proper personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, sanitizers, and disinfectant) to enhance the health and safety of the community.
The desired candidate is also taking COVID precautions in personal life to limit exposure. Individuals not wearing masks or social distancing from the general public are not suitable candidates for this position. There is a mandatory mask requirement for this position.
Experienced non-emergency medical transport (NEMT) drivers, EMT, Fire, CNA’s,s all encouraged to apply. We have flexible part-time work to help supplement your income and full-time positions available if you are ready for a change!
Some weekends and holidays needed.
Well-maintained fleet of vehicles. Professional work environment.
Must be able to utilize a smartphone for communication, manage trips assignments, and navigate to destinations. We train in-house and have efficient processes to streamline your day.
Driver’s must have or be able to obtain a NYS Commercial Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement.
All drivers must be willing to undergo background check and drug test.
